You can also turn them off with AdBlock (or AdBlock Plus)
I wonder how such a silly idea ever left the drawing table. screenshots of webpages, what the hell?
I like the new ones that bring in feeds such as flikr.
But even the pictures are helpful when people like you have link text such as when you liked the word " these " below.
